Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Farmers and the Damage Caused by Pesticides

Summary/Abstract: In Poland there is a compulsory insurance of civil liability of farmers for damage to third parties. At the same time there is a problem the use of plant protection. In the literature more and more talk about pesticide residues in agricultural products and livestock. In this article we discuss the scale of the use of pesticides and their effects on the environment and health of the population. We debate whether the effects of pesticide residues should be included in the scope of this liability insurance.
