Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of the paper is an assessment of segregation and cohesion degree in the company network on the Polish capital market through the analysis of interlocking directorates of publicly listed companies. Design/methodology/approach – The social network analysis and statistical analysis were applied. Results – The companies grouped by their the economic industries are characterized by their lack of cohesion and segregation. The relations established between the companies are in most cases cross-sector links, which express a given company’s desire to limit its uncertainty in its environment. It may be explained by the resources dependence theory. Originality/value – This is a first attempt to analyze the aforementioned issues on the Polish capital market
