Research of Marriage Separation in Bratislava-Trnava Archdiocese in 1998 – 2007

Summary/Abstract: The legal reasons for marriage separation are standardized in the Code of Canon Law of 1983 in canons 1152 – 1153. The results of research in the former Bratislava-Trnava diocese in the years 1998 – 2007 should be a challenge for the priests of the Church, especially bishops. After thorough and careful consideration, the bishops have issued guidelines for priests, deacons, catechists and all those responsible for marriage preparation. We must not forget all three forms of preparation for marriage, the remote, the near and the immediate and also catechesis for youth, adults, men and women but also for those already married.
