On protection of realistic art

Summary/Abstract: There are different points of view in modern critique about the aesthetic values of creative achievements, made by Soviet artists during the socialism epoch of 20-th century. Some critics recognize the achievement of art of that period and call it the totalitarian regime art, but others doubt in avant-gardism tendencies of that time. The author expresses his own vision of all this problems, taking into account the fact that the West art critics refused from the criticism of this art, including the art of Socialist realism. The criticized art of that period is correlated with the spirit of the times today. The interesting fact that the principles of classical realism art are used now in education process by New York Academy of fine arts, which was founded in 1982.
