Summary/Abstract: In the article new approaches to the concepts "mass culture" and "popular culture" in the boundaries of different sciences – culturology, sociology, philosophy – are being considered. Attention to the different approaches in definition of thesis phenomenon’s in works of the foreign and native scientists is considered.
