Summary/Abstract: The article presents profiles of the soldiers of the Polish Army, who took part in the fights for Poland’s independence, including the eastern front in the years 1919–1920, and after the end of the war settled in the village of Kromolin, a part of Wielka Wieś in the municipality of Szadek. In the 1920s the soldier-settlers lived in Kromolin and cultivated land which they bought in the area. Among them were: Władysław Winiarski, Kazimierz Lenc, and Jan Kwiram.
