Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the normalization processes taking place in the preparation process of the new editions of service books in Moscow in the second half of the 17th century. The author points out the specific features of the linguistic situation in which the book revisors work. Certain changes in the graphic and orthographic as well as morphological norms of the Standard Church Slavic language are examined as they are reflected in the corrections of the proof copies. The appendix provides help in identifying proof copies whose catalogue number has changed
