Summary/Abstract: Grappling with various elements of development, Nigeria has not been well placed to tackle problems confronting the education system in general and those of the disabled persons in particular. To find out the state of affairs of education of the disabled in Nigeria and students’ perception of inclusive education, among other issues, an exploratory study was carried out. The study indicates that Nigeria has limited facilities for the education of disabled children, many children apparently lack access to education and learning aids and equipment are extremely inadequate. It is obvious that Nigeria needs to address the issue of access to education while working towards achieving inclusive education.
