Summary/Abstract: The intention of the paper is to discuss the question if literary texts with their specific features can be subjects of discourse linguistics. The first, more comprehensive part of the paper provides the theoretical discussion for and against the idea of inclusion literary texts in discourse linguistics. It leads to the conclusion that especially these kinds of texts because of its formal appearance can be of importance for discourse linguistic approach. In the second, shorter part of the paper comparative analyses of three poems with regard to First World War (Seidel, Ball, Trakl) support the conclusion. The role of specific stylistic form becomes apparent.
