Summary/Abstract: The article considers the genesis of spectacular stunt as part of culture, defines the concept as meaning trick and events are vivid examples of hunting games and the burial ceremony as embryos spectacle. The author conducted a review of opinions Ukrainian and foreign historians about the nature of the phenomenon of theater tricks.
