Summary/Abstract: Next follows the analysis of the materials collected by Mackenzie for Pashai, belonging to the Dardic subgroup of Indo-Aryan languages, and Kati a member of the Nuristani subgroup of Indo-Iranian languages. What has been stated with regard to the Iranian vocabulary holds also good for this part of the vocabulary. Besides basic native items, also a number of cultural words of Persian origin, mainly with a religious background, can be found. As will be shown, this group of last mentioned words is attested throughout the Islamic Central Asian area. The order of the entries is as follows: Kati and/or Pashai according to Mackenzie || references (if possible with references to other Nuristani and Dardic languages || Nuristani examples (and/or) | Dardic examples | Urdu | Hazāra examples | Iranian examples | Mongolic and Turkic examples.
