Summary/Abstract: The article researches problematic issues around basic rights and freedoms of people with mental disabilities and psychic disorders who became an object of investigation by law enforcement agencies and court trial. Consideration given to advisability and legitimacy of temporary curtailment of certain rights and freedoms of a person, special focus is placed on criminal procedure peculiarities with regard to imposing restrictions of medical nature.
