Summary/Abstract: The article researches certain issues related to involvement of experts by the parties to criminal proceedings for the purpose of carrying out forensic examinations and ensuring the right of defendants to assign such examination with the aim of collecting evidence. It gives insight into samples for forensic examination, lays out a proper procedure for collection of such samples within criminal proceedings, and provides guidance on evaluation of expert conclusion.
