Active youth games in the Kiev region in the XIX - early XX century

Summary/Abstract: In Ukraine people always like youth active games, striking pageants, amusement and funs without end. Songs, dances, round dances games accompany. Games had elements of the battle instracshings: games-escapes, games-quardings, games-trainings. And they have millennial history from paganism to Christianity, because folk rites, ceremonies, rituals include games. Study and preservation of folk traditional games are necessary for enrichment of the national spiritual life, development of cultural level, dignity and self-esteem.
