Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to justify the aesthetic content categories "poetic" – "prosaic." Need to transform these concepts from literary theory to the theory of aesthetics is substantiated as a particular theoretical and cognitive situation, and the nature of artistic practice that has developed in the 20th century.
