Summary/Abstract: The article concerns investigation of coping behavior in the context of prevention of adolescent substance use. Based on an analytical review of psychological and pedagogical sources essence of the concepts of "coping", "stress", "coping strategies". It notes that the effectiveness of preventive work with adolescents on psychoactive substances depends on activation of personal coping sources, key among which is self-effectiveness teenager.
