Prilog drugačijoj genologiji
On a Slovenian Proposal of a Genology

Summary/Abstract: The paper is a commentary on a Slovenian proposal of a genre theory based on a merger of Wittgenstein and Bakhtin. The argumenta tion is divided into four stages: in the first stage the »new genre theory« is shown as a resolution of the aporias the earlier concepts were unable to overcome. In the second stage the question of the constitutive properties of the genological entity (the addresses, addressor, subject, situation) and their mutual relations are discussed. In the third stage the obtained scheme is specified in relation to journalistic discourse. The fourth stage problematizes the accepted status of the theory of discourse types.
