Summary/Abstract: The high unemployment rate among young people and the poor absorption rate of them on the labour market are two of the main reasons that justify the concern for understanding the insertion of recent graduates on the labour market. Starting from this, the present research aims to investigate the way in which certain characteristics of Romanian graduates influence their insertion on the labour market. For this purpose all 1641 graduates from 2014 enrolled in the contest for obtaining a job in pre-secondary education with adequate training requirements for the job were taken into consideration.
