Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the investigation of binary system of numeration with extended set of digits {0,1,2,3}. A geometrical structure (a geometrical sense of digits and cylindrical set) of such a representation is studied and the simpliest problems of the corresponding metric number theory are solved. We discuss the possibility of such representation for the defining and for the studying of fractal sets, singular probability distributions and absolutely continous probability distributions with locally-complicated densities. An interest in such representations is stimulated by their connections with existing problems of modern probability theory and fractal analysis. The "technology" of intersections of cylindrical sets, which is the base for the development of general metric theory of such representations and the corresponding analytical fractal "geometry of numbers" is completely studied.
