NALIN and the others…

Summary/Abstract: As early as 1990 the “Open Society” Foundation – Sofia launched a large scale Program of support for the libraries in Bulgaria committing the impressive amount of more than two million dollars up to 2000. Within the framework of this campaign ambitious projects were carried out such as the National Automated Library Information Network (NALIN), the Compact Disk Program, the National Program for the Preservation of Bulgarian Library Collections, etc.
