Summary/Abstract: Chamber music art takes an important place in a hierarchy of musical culture. It is a substantial source of valuable information, which reflects a process of transformations of artistic consciousness in aspects of history, genre, style, aesthetics and so on. In the research of chamber music art there can be spotted a tendency to a partial study of the problem, especially from the point of view of musical science. But there is no systematic approach in the research of chamber music art in scientific literature. The aim of the article is theoretical reasoning of chamber music art as integral, multilayer system and severance of basic criteria of scientific comprehension of its specific character. That would mean treatment of a concept of musical art using systematic and structure-and-functional approaches. Functioning of system of musical art represents balance and interaction of its structural components. Constant components, such as composing, performing, study of art and musical education, are basic core for creating a system. Among their functions there is creation of artistic values. Functions of relative components (scenic practice, art organizations, instrumental and material base) are formed relatively to demands of performing, composing, pedagogical personalia in creation of basis of for spreading, saving, perceiving, evaluating of results of art activity. System of musical art is finally formed subject to professionalization at all structural levels. Chamber music art is a multilayer system, and its analysis can be conducted on the basis of developed system of musical art, taking into consideration its species peculiarity. Ensemble and harmony as a character feature of coordinated interaction of elements which create musical entirety are modern categories. And they determine genre uniqueness of chamber pieces and their performance. The latest is considered to be an act of communication of a small number of performers in atmosphere of equilibrium of personal freedom of self-expression and corporate integrity inside the ensemble. During integrating training of a musician playing in an ensemble broadens musical horizons and not only perfects performing skills but also forms personal and creative qualities of a musician. It happens through obtaining some experience of professional communication and partnership that affirms an important social function of ensemble. Chamber music art is studied in three main aspects: 1) as a phenomenon of artistic reality which collects cultural substance of a certain epoch, country, region in a form of chamber piece of music; 2) as a process of creative activity of a subject which transforms objective reality through a prism of conception with help of language of music, in particular, means of ensemble expressiveness; 3) as perfect skills, professional mastery (of a composer, performer, teacher) that combines technical skills with creative and intellectual aptitude. Let us describe a couple of other approaches. They can shows a cultural part in development of chamber music art and become a criteria of division into periods at national and regional levels: 1) according to socially and politically important events, chronology of which influenced functioning of musical culture and chamber art in particular; 2) according to activity of individual creative personalias, who played important roles in development of chamber art; 3) according to genre-and-style parameters of chamber creativity and pedagogical activity; 4) according to repertoire range of chamber music at concert, performing, competitive and festival practice; 5) according to disposition and intensity of international contacts in dialogues of cultures, which allows to track the level of acculturation an enculturation processes. Thus, chamber music art is a spiritual phenomenon of musical culture that functions in cultural space as a complex, multilayer system. It creates constant (composing chamber music, ensemble performance, study of art, musical education) and relative (art organizations, scenic practice, instrumental and material base) components that interact with each other, complement one another and are in numerous systematic and outboard relations for the purpose of creation, reproduction, perception, expansion, keeping, analysis and evaluation of results of creative (composing, performing, teaching) activity in chamber sphere. Chamber music art need further investigation of its components, according to developed approaches of scientific comprehension. They are based on art criticism and cultural studies, taking into account social, political, cultural, genre-and-style, personal, nominative, ethnic factors and regional peculiarity.
