Summary/Abstract: Recent changes in criminal executional legislation have created difficulties for the probation system, especially in two probation services (Bucharest and Ilfov). The recent criminal legislation, although more generous in terms of criminal sanctions/non-custodial educational measures involving probation services, has caused more problems. So the number of Probation`s beneficiaries increased so much that you should be talking about probation excess with consequences on quality of supervision. This paper also analyzes the possible solutions for this situation.
