Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to increase research on the use of e-technologies in theinformation war in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. In the first part of the articlethe author treats about the information war. She further analyzes the manipulation of facts bythe Russian media in presenting Euromayd events and the Crimean annex. She notes that theRussian authorities have taken steps to take control of the Ukrainian information space. Thefinal comments conclude that caution should be exercised in the use of information on theInternet, primarily by examining and verifying sources. This information is often intentionaland embedded in the multidimensional and complex interests of state authorities fightingfor influence in a given region. E-technology in the information war becomes an instrumentof influencing the formation of public opinion. The intensification of this influence can consequentlylead to the rebuilding of thinking and changing the opinion of a society
