De l’éphémère du discours politique
From the ephemeral of political discourse

Summary/Abstract: Studying the media output – texts, discourse, expressions and gestures, postures – from different viewpoints (linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, semiolinguistics, semiology, semantics, cultural studies …) means, on the one hand, drawing both on our theoretical knowledge and on our experience as TV viewers, which, more than often, appears to be leading our professional life behind the screen. On the other hand, this study signifies our acknowledgement of the media’s engendering text types, discourse genres whose particular usage is worthy of a thorough investigation.As far as we are concerned, as a linguist who has dedicated most of her work to the study of the dichotomy norm/usage in French and Romanian, we bear witness to the fact that the media language encompasses the rich inventory of the dynamics of the languages evolving in synchrony, innovating and observing at the same time precious rules, rebelling against and submitting to them, to finally construct legitimate discourses / texts in the interdiscourse / intertext.
