ORAL PRESENTATIONS IN UNIVERSITY CLASSES AS A MEANS TO FOSTER PERSONAL EXPRESSION IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE SUCH AS ENGLISH

Summary/Abstract: What course activities can best promote and support oral expression in university groups? This teaching practice note will explain how oral presentations, despite their reputation as outdated can support freshmen to try and speak English fluently while working at their final oral exams at the same time. This activity took place in English classes within the Department of French Literature Studies of Dunkerque in Northern France.
