Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is the description of education system in Tanzania. At the beginning the author focuses on the characteristics of this country: location, history, demography, industry, politics and religion. In the next section, the text will describe determinants of education in Tanzania from the perspective of its colonial past. The third, main part of the article is the characterization of the education system of this country with the description of kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, tertiary education and education of children with special educational needs. Then, the author describes the look of typical school and class. The article ends with the description of the challenges and challenges of education in Tanzania.
