Summary/Abstract: Our article presents new information about the life of Niţă D. Puţureanu, a famous merchant of 19th Century Craiova. For a number of original documents, which are in a private collection, we could determine how Niţă D. Puţureanu managed his business, wealth, and his family members. In the appendix, we publish a document where merchant’s successors share equally the wealth of this merchant.
