Summary/Abstract: Using checklists in the field of medicine became very popular inthe last years and was intensively mediated, even if the opinions arestill controversial.The paper presents a relatively inedited (and challenging) approachregarding the use of checklists in the field of childcare and discusssome possibilities to implement specific checklists in the residentialcare institutions for children and youngsters. The author spotlightsthe main results of a pilot study that took place between 2011 and2016 and labels relevant aspects concerning the implementation ofsome specially designed checklists in the daily activity in childcareinstitutions. The importance and especially the possible main impactsof using this method currently in youth care centers are alsoanalyzed.
