The application of break-through technologies in the management of non-renewable natural resources

Summary/Abstract: The subject matter of this paper is a review of research into new materials, new technologies and new products from the point of view of the degree to which they incorporate sustainable development concepts. Properties and characteristics are presented as well as potential application areas for innovative solutions. In the review of new technologies, attention is paid to those which incorporate break-through ideas. Also identified, are the factors which ensure sustainable usage of non-renewable natural resources in large scale equipment manufacture and specifically, in new generation equipment designed for everyday use which incorporates break-through technologies.
