Summary/Abstract: The French adverb refers to a class of words corresponding to syntactic semantic properties. His typology following the semantic criterion in traditional grammar is not without posing the problem of a strict isomorphism between syntax jobs and meaning in context. We take, for example, the adverb of quantity "trop", beyond the syntactic semantic properties, can be used in an actional purpose of language. The study aims to show the jobs of the unit "too" and its meanings both the linguistic context point of view and in terms of extra linguistic reality. This goal involves the problematic of quantitative "trop" and his implications depending on the situation of utterance. One has a theory of action by the language used to describe the occurrences of the unit "too much" and to give the pragmatic values.
