Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper is to research the behavior of modern consumers on the coffee market and their preferences and opinions about this product. To the most important factors influencing the choice of coffee there are included the sensory quality, especially taste and aroma. Among marketing factors the most important aspect in coffee purchasing is the price. It is also concluded that modern consumers pay particular attention to the brand of the purchased product. It is related to the growing awareness of a modern, educated consumers, who want to purchase the products that satisfy their more and more sophisticated needs.
