Summary/Abstract: Fayoum City is the city that occupies part of Bahr Yussef’s Delta (Fayoum depression) which is located in middle of Egypt, about 130 km south west of Cairo. Fayoum has six administrative districts, which are named first, second, third, fourth districts, Dar Ramad and Quhafa. There are 48 primary schools and 29 preparatory ones within these districts boundaries. In Fayoum city, primary and preparatory schools (Basic Education) locations are distributed all over the City far away schools planning. That leads to a lot of problems that appear in high density classes, pupils congestion at transportation means at schools beginning and departure time, also many of them are compel to travel long distances to schools. Furthermore most of the time those haphazard locations perform risks, that come from land use overlapping and undesirable land uses. There is an insistent necessity to solve these problems or at least many of them in order to ensure accommodations and safety for current number of pupils and to meet those who will come in the near future. This study is based on building a powerful GIS for basic educational schools in Fayoum city depends upon field work for collecting data related to schools, their locations, their buffer zones, their number of pupils and teachers, the classes’ density, land use around the school and how far pupils come from.
