ROMANIAN NAVY AT THE END OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR

Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Army as whole suffered great losses in the First World War. TheNavy managed to accomplish its task with bravery and commitment and was regardedas an important component in the national defense system. This paper focuses on thesituation of the Romanian Navy at the end of the war in order to establish a startingpoint for the several programs to develop its potential. The final issue to be resolved insubsequent papers is the degree in which these programs managed to take advantageof the geopolitical situation of Romania and made good use of the resources which wereput forth.
