Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of slavery dating back to the slavery of sin of the first humans. In the twenty-first century, there are modern forms of slavery. On 2-3 November 2013 in Vatican took place the International Congress on modern forms of slavery. The originator of the meeting was the Pope Francis. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Church, institutions, social organizations, the people of the business world. The result of the meeting was Statement on Trafficking in Human Beings. This article presents the contents of this document.
