Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to outline the issue of "Slavonic epic" and "Slavonic drama", as raised by Adam Mickiewicz in his Parisian lectures. The conclusions stemming from analysis of individual fragments of the relevant lecture, referred to two visions of culture: epic and dramatic, have been confronted with the poetic work "Gorski Vijenac" [‘The Mountain Wreath’, 1847] by Petar II Petrović Njegoš.
