Evolution of the profession of librarian-documentarist in the context of the Information Society

Summary/Abstract: Prezentul articol încearcă să arate ce s-ar putea realiza în mod special în domeniul bibliotecilor şi documentării, deoarece Societatea Informaţiei deschide o nouă perspectivă în materie de formare, făcând posibilă auto-formarea, facilitând accesul la diferite resurse documentare şi educative, modificând raporturile între indivizi şi grupe la cunoaştere. Structurile documentare, şi în special bibliotecile, vor avea un rol mult mai activ în difuzarea cunoş- tinţelor, transformându-se în centre de resurse educaţionale sau pedagogice. The present article tries to show what’s can achieve in a specifically way in the area of the libraries and documentation because the Information Society opens a new view which report to the formation, doing feasibly the auto formation, facilitating the access to different documentary and educative resources, modifying the contacts between individuals and groups to knowledge. The documentary structures and especially the libraries, will have a much more active role in the spreading of the knowledge becoming centers of education or pedagogic resources.
