Summary/Abstract: Homily as a type of text should meet some formal requirements. One of the important issues is the coherence and also cohesion of the text structure. The text of homily should include those two mentioned features. The Coherence (semantic sence) is present primarily in the well-structured and developed subject of the text. It also applies to the unity of the orator and receiver. The cohesion (structural sence) provides linking of sentences, preserving the proportion of structure and additionaly, the use of appropriate metalanguage operators that allow for proper structure of text elements. Coherence and cohesion enable communicateing more effectively in a homily meanings within the homily actio.
