The Guardians of Memory – the Unnarrated Stories behind the Old Photographs

Summary/Abstract: The photographic collection of the Bulgarian Historical Archive of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia is impressive in terms of size, richness and chronological scope. The article presents very small part of this visual treasury of our past – the unnarated stories behind one group of photo documents from Ohrid. They have preserved the appearance of the city from the first decades of 20th century, its particular atmosphere and they bear witness of people‘s deep worship of St. Klement of Ohrid.
