A Salute to Dr. Alexandra Dipchikova

Summary/Abstract: It gives me great pleasure to write on the occasion of the seventieth birthday of our distinguished and highly respected colleague Dr. Alexandra Dipchikova. Her contributions to Bulgarian and international librarianship are well known – valuable role on the IFLA Standing Committee on Cataloguing; her work for the Open Society Foundation; and of her work on the journal Biblioteka for more than 20 years. She was a distinguished director of the “St. Cyril and Methodius” National Library. She has worked tirelessly for the Bulgarian Library & Information Association and for other national and professional bodies.
