EQUITY FINANCING IN FAMILY FIRMS LISTED ON ALTERNATIVE MARKET NEWCONNECT

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the characteristics of family enterprises listed on NewConnect. The author begins with definitions, then - after the presentation of the methodology – focuses on the results of studies of family businesses. These are: the total number of listed companies, as well as their market capitalization in relation to market capitalization. In addition, article studies the size of family businesses, the value of the issuing equity, the shareholders structure and the financing structure. The results of the research show the importance of family businesses on NewConnect as well as the characteristics of this group of entitles.
