Immigration phenomenon in growth theory. The role of human and social capital

Summary/Abstract: This text consists of the analysis of the heterogenity effect between immigrant and home populations with regard to human and social capital on the economic growth. Within the analysis a growth model with human capital is used to show the heterogenous impact of immigration of people with different attitudes towards the accumulation of human capital than home population on income of different groups of home population. The article presents an analysis of the impact of differing levels of social capital connected with inter-cultural cooperation on economic efficiency. It also shows the impact of increase of the size of the economy due to immigration on the potential for the specialization of human capital.
