Institutional changes on the financial market in Poland − selected aspects

Summary/Abstract: System transformation which began in 1989 in Poland caused some changes in formal and informal institutions in all economic areas. One of those areas was financial market and institutions which were connected with that market. Banks and the whole banking system were transformed at first. The reforms of formal institutions were supposed to bring new, more competitive banking sector. The changes were noticed in formal institutions like legal rules on the financial market and informel institutions like trust to bank’s institutions and the whole banking system. The main purpose of this article is to present how formal and informal institutions have been changed on the financial market in Poland after 1989.
