Summary/Abstract: The study addresses problems of chronology based on a re-assessment of the section cut through the rampart of the fort at Zalavár-Vársziget, of the rampart’s structural traits and of its function within the context of the settlement, as well as through the analysis of the recovered finds and the results of the dendrochronogical analyses.
