Summary/Abstract: The director vitality ensuring functions of contemporary opera are analyzed in the research. His life and creativity and his work peculiarities with the composers and singers, his contribution in director`s important part in modern opera art are studied. The problem of the viability of the opera as a genre of art with new works in this area performing arts have always worried about not only the purely musical and theatrical community, but also management of theatrical institutions, art managers and mass audience. For every operatic work that became a classic and continue textbook model, seen first as news, whose appearance was sometimes at odds with entrenched views on music and theater, audience tastes, requirements of time correlated with the levels of socio-economic development of society. A striking example here is the opera of the twentieth century. Like other genres of art, here there is a musical statement (complicated harmony, instrumentation, intonatsiynist etc.) and literary and theatrical works. This applies primarily plot structure. Unlike the days of Lully, Rameau, Mozart and Haydn even where the basis of the plot of the opera composed mainly mythological and biblical images of the twentieth century theme becomes more diverse. With the expansion of components of the opera genre is complicated division of responsibilities in creating performances. If the day classical composer himself was both conductor and director, and in the era of romanticism expresses their individuality also a conductor, in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries-increasing role also opera director. Ukrainian opera space also filled with outstanding figures in this field. One of the places of honor belongs to the director, teacher and musical-public figure Lukashov VA, which for more than thirty years made many productions of contemporary authors in Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. One of the leading masters of opera genre Kharkiv kompozytors¬koyi organization certainly was Vitaly Gubarenko whose works at that time were known not only in Ukraine. VA Lukashov been staged his operas such as "Swat involuntarily" for comedy flowers-Osnovyanenko "Shelmenko-Batman" and "Love Letters" for A.Barbyusa novel "Tenderness". Staging Chamber Opera has a mono-opera director or at least difficult than setting work traditional genre. If the opera with flying crowd scenes, many actors developed intrigue could offset some of the shortcomings of the director's productions, in chamber music genre any movement and intonation of the actor observed on all sides and each artist rendering is immediately noticeable and can spoil the impression from all work. If by overcoming their ambitions, able to take into account the views of all participants in a staged process, its work, at least for a period, and the event will have a chance at a long stage life. Referring to the theme viability contemporary opera cannot ignore such important issues as education of youth. In this area, VA Lukashov also owns a leading position. Nearly half a century next to the main business director of HATOB, then artistic director of the Kiev National Philharmonic named Lysenko, he found time to teaching classes. During this period, VA Lukashov released over seventy opera directing qualified professionals who worthily continued the tradition of his teacher. However, he is author of this teaching development stage of teaching the basics, tutorials on this issue and a number of articles on education of future masters of opera, published in leading cultural periodicals. Author contemporary opera has complete right to achieve special effects to create musical and scenic images require the use of all kinds of stage movements. The task of the director-teacher, if he sees a comprehensive gifted singer-actor, not seek to limit it to a certain voice gradation or genre stereotypes.
