Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research on the relationship between the activity of teenagers on the internet, their motivations of using the web and their opinions on parental attitude towards those activities. The goal of the authors was to explore what attitudes do parents present toward different types of activities of their teenage children while surfing the internet. In order to identify and measure such relationship the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) developed by Kimberly Young was applied. Quantitative research, was based on polling 706 junior high and high school students from Małopolska (The Lesser Poland) region. The researchers analyzed the relationship among the above variables.
