Summary/Abstract: Tracking the career paths of the university graduates may be a valuable source of information about higher education system. Especially when taking into consideration number of the graduates who have chosen self-employment. Such analysis may help to better adjust the didactic offer of HE institutions to the needs of labour market. Also identifying the studies with very low or even zero self-employment rates may lead to the appropriate curriculum improvements. The article presents the results of the analysis based on the data derived from the reports collected in the Polish Graduate Tracking System (ELA), operated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
