Summary/Abstract: Persons with visual disability are a large and varied group of people that often face groundless unequal treatment and are excluded socially, politically and economically. Quality of life of blind and partially sighted persons has tendency to decrease. Quality of life is a multidimensional and interdisciplinary term which allows to conduct research that focuses on different aspects of human functioning. Quality of life of a person with visual impairment depends on various factors. The crucial ones are rehabilitation, school and higher education. Both close cooperation between state, nonprofit and private institutions and great efforts of persons with visual disability are required to increase quality of life.
