Summary/Abstract: Realizing the extent to which the labile, single-ended and complex appear the real situation of modern intercultural interaction, the author focuses on crosscultural approach to the analysis of dialogue of Ukraine and France, which makes it possible to overcome the impasses of traditional comparative studies and rethinking of ancient oppositions due to the method of "crossing" or "interbreeding" of different cultural phenomena. An important feature is the rejection of reduction and simplification, which previously inevitably accompanied the process of comparing general and specific features in different historical phenomena. Method of crosscultural dialogue combines the understanding of the self-sufficient individual values, as well as considering them within a complex configuration, in terms of relations, interactions and circulations – taking into account the consequences of such a "crossing". We are talking about the dialogue of two great European cultures, that is, the set of direct relations and connections between the culture of the Ukrainian and French relations, which have developed historically and continue in the present. The formation of communicative processes and the formulation of meaning, which they are filled, to a large extent depends on environment and life experience of their carriers. This, in turn, determines a particular interest in origins, which became the basis for the formation of certain ideological paradigms, principles of selection of meaning and building of basic components. The contemporary cultural progress of Ukraine and France in comparison with similar progress in other countries in Western and Eastern Europe – a striking confirmation of the identification of the significance of the interaction of cultural traditions (or cultural inertia) on the development of society, especially for critical stages of transformation. Actually, in this context, it seems significant to study the readiness of the Ukrainian and French culture to respond to the challenges of time, which, ultimately, is interpreted as evidence of their stage of maturity, awareness of their own "identities" and the ability to be opposed to each other in the ability to conduct both internal and external dialogue. The word refers to the internal dialogue between all spheres of life culture, which are no longer opposed to each other, but working on the interpenetration and mutual enrichment. External dialogue is understanding "native" and "foreign" cultures, which are equally present as the desire to "hear" useful and discard the hypocritical, and the understandable desire of each culture to be heard. These processes indicate that the carriers of culture are quite aware that in their culture there are "gaps" that require "fill-in", and that their work and their achievements in this field are important not only locally, but in wider European and even global context. It is the cultural dialogism as a phenomenon primarily of modern intellectual discourse, reflects the specificity of the people’s awareness of the value of its culture, its ethnic/national identity, representativeness and significance in the context of other cultures. It is also worth noting that the real crossculture dialogue involves not two but a much larger number of participants, which is associated primarily with the concept of ethnic-cultural heterogeneity of any society. Therefore, to refer to the cultural concept of "dialogism thinking" also encourage the methodology of the study of Ukrainian-French relations, which would allow, not eliminating the particular phenomenon to organically weave them into the overall context of the development of each of the participants in the dialogueAnd here crossculture approach seems to be the most productive, which proves that the system forms and principles of interaction of the Ukrainian culture with the French, the wider world and their hierarchy ("ordo") is constantly in a situation of "rebooting". Saving own identity is not achieved through the reservation of traditions, and its development, not because of the rejection of all "foreign", but through an attempting to isolate it useful and harmful, sublime and inferior, a desire to learn from the good things in unison with their own world view, can it supplement. Dialogism of cultures manifests as finding similarities, and comparing the differences, but not from the perspective of "good-bad", but in terms of "this-another" because every nation has its own traditions and its own "selfhood", so the difference should not become a cause for conflict. Internal and external dialogism of cultures complement each other, grade into the phenomenon of "polymorphism" (in the sense of the fundamental ambiguity of space crops), versatility ( "diversity") spiritual life of its carriers. Comparison of priorities of cross-cultural dialogue between Ukraine and France from geopolitics to the concrete existence of culture - makes it possible to find a common denominator in the field of research "and debt-offs" and the field "arhetype core" of each of the studied cultural communities, while do not absolute any of them. Meanwhile, synchronized comparison of culturefactors that are prevalent in the progress of two major European countries and in different thematic areas - intellectual, aesthetic, moral, etc. - allows to track the presence/absence of established guidelines - both those in the society in general and those that are unique to particular social groups. So, in unison cultural space genius of two great European nations create the world's masterpieces of the Spirit, from painting to architecture, from theater to cinema, from poetry to music, from design to fashion, from the winemaking to the cookery, from extraordinary courage to unlimited worship of femininity and beauty
