SUMMARY OVERVIEW OF THE BOOK „AD-DARIS FI AL-TARIH AL-MADARIS“

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a summary of the work „Ad-Daris fi Al-Tarih AlMadaris“, written by Abdulkadir b. Muhammad, known as the Al-Nuaymi, who lived in the 9th century AH. In this work An-Nuaymi has made a very precise and detailed account of Madrasas, Zawiyas, Khanaqahs, Ribats, mosques, etc., educational institutions in general, since the arrival of Islam in the area of Damascus until the time in which he lived. The work „Ad-Daris fi Al-Tarih Al-Madaris“ is a very important historical document about the history of Islamic education, but also about the history of education and education in general.
