On the problem update discipline "Theory and methods of teaching Latin American ballroom dance"

Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the condition of the academic support of the subject matter "Theory and methods of the teaching of Latin ballroom dancing" from the cycle of professional and practical preparation of specialists in the sphere of ballroom choreography in the higher school. The article retraces the updating of the teaching methods of the above mentioned academic discipline in the higher school (exemplified by the ballroom choreography department of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts). On the basis of few works of the practitioners and on their own experience the teachers create their own proprietary teaching methodologies and curricula in professional disciplines of ballroom choreography, one of which is "Theory and methods of the teaching of Latin ballroom dancing".
